The first part of the programme deals with two types of apparatus and technique used in the physiological study of the nervous system : the oscilloscope & the recording electrode. The rest of the programme uses this equipment & preparations of the squid giant axon & an alligator nerve to demonstrate various characteristics of nervous transmission.
