This conference was supported by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and the Smithsonian Institution through contract with The New York Academy of Sciences. It was the first of a planned series of five yearly conferences on the Oritins of Life. The Conference was held at Princeton, New Jersey, from May 21 to 24, 1967.
